Kate & Quintin at Hotel X Toronto: A WEZOREE Editorial Feature

The Editorial Feature

There are some weddings where every element—from the architectural backdrop to the final song of the night—aligns perfectly. Kate and Quintin’s celebration at Hotel X Toronto was a masterclass in modern elegance. I am incredibly honored to share that their stunning day has been officially featured in the curated pages of WEZOREE.

As a wedding DJ, my goal is always to create a "soundtrack" that feels as sophisticated as the decor. Seeing the energy of this night immortalized in an international publication is the ultimate "thank you" to an incredible couple.

The Vibe: Setting the Tone at Hotel X

Hotel X is one of Toronto’s most iconic modern venues, and it requires a specific approach to sound and energy. For Kate and Quintin, we wanted the music to bridge the gap between the sleek, metropolitan atmosphere of the Toronto waterfront and a high-energy, inclusive dance floor.

The Musical Brief:

  • Ceremony: Harpist Denise Fung set the mood for the intimate ceremony in the Kandy Gallery.

  • Cocktails & Dinner: Saxophonist Carson Freeman kept guests vibing in the Kandy Gallery, before they made their way to New Fort Hall for dinner. The dinner playlist was a mix of classic crooner and jazz hits with contemporary pop love songs.

  • The First Dance: A custom edit of “Perfect Duet” by Ed Sheeran and Beyonce.

  • The Party: We leaned into wedding favourites to warm up the dancefloor before moving into heavier EDM and house bangers. The highlight track of the night was “Later Bitches” by The Prince Karma, which got the bride up on a chair reciting the lyrics for her audience word for word.

The Dream Team

A feature like this is only possible when a world-class team comes together. It was a pleasure collaborating with these talented Toronto vendors:
