ABOUT RICH SWEET

I'm Rich, a boutique wedding DJ based in Toronto with 15 years of experience performing at the city's most iconic venues. I specialize in high-end weddings, corporate galas, and private events where the music actually matters.

Every booking gets my full attention. I don't subcontract. I don't double-book. On your wedding day, I've spent the morning reviewing your playlist and confirming the timeline with your planner — not setting up at another event.

MY STYLE

I work in open format, which means I read the room rather than following a pre-set playlist. My goal is a soundtrack that feels like a natural progression from cocktails and dinner, building up to a high energy dance party.

Toronto wedding crowds are wonderfully diverse. I'm comfortable moving between R&B, hip-hop, Top 40, classic rock, and house, often all in one night.

Common questions

How do you handle music requests?

Before every wedding I take time to get to know your taste — must-plays, do-not-plays, the general vibe you're going for. On the night itself, requests will always come in from guests, and I use my judgement. If it fits what we talked about and it'll work for the room, I'll play it. If it's going to derail the party, I won't — and that's a call I'm comfortable making so you don't have to.

What's included in your packages?

Standard packages include a professional sound system sized to your venue, MC services, wireless mic for speeches and vows, basic dancefloor lighting, and planning sessions from the moment you book. Ceremony audio, cocktail hour setup, uplighting, and travel outside Toronto are all available as add-ons and quoted upfront.

How far in advance should I book?

Peak Saturdays between May and October tend to book 10–14 months out. I only take one wedding per day, so once a date is gone it's gone. If you have a venue and a date in mind, sooner is always better.
