For peak season Saturdays — May through October — most couples book 10 to 14 months out. The best dates go first, and I only take one wedding per day, so if you have a specific date in mind, earlier is always better.
Winter weddings and weekday events have more flexibility, but I'd still recommend reaching out as soon as your venue is confirmed.
-
Yes, always. Every booking is confirmed with a signed contract and a deposit. The contract outlines exactly what's included, the timeline, the payment schedule, and contingency plans. If a DJ ever offers to skip the paperwork, that's a reason to walk away.

Wedding pricing starts at $2,485. Corporate and private events start at $1,600 (up to 4 hours). Travel outside the city, additional setups (such as a separate ceremony or cocktail hour system), and specialty lighting can affect the final investment.
I'm transparent about pricing from the first conversation — no surprises on the final invoice.

Open format and curated. My goal is to build a soundtrack that feels like a luxe lounge session during cocktails and dinner, and evolves into a high-energy dance floor as the night opens up — with the transitions feeling completely natural rather than jarring.
I work across genres and generations. Toronto wedding crowds tend to be diverse, and I'm comfortable moving between R&B, hip-hop, Top 40, classic rock, Afrobeats, Bollywood, house, and everything in between — sometimes all in one night. description
-
Yes, within reason. I encourage couples to share their must-plays and do-not-plays in advance, and I welcome requests from guests on the night. That said, my job is to read the whole room, not just honour individual requests. If a request fits the energy, it goes in. If it doesn't, I'll find a way to work it in later or let the guest down gently.
-
Absolutely. Part of my planning process is understanding what music is meaningful to you — not just what's popular. I'll do my homework on anything specific you want featured, whether that's a particular era, a regional style, or a song that means something to the two of you.
-
I'd rather build one together. A full playlist handed over without context can actually work against you — songs that look right on paper don't always land in the right order, at the right energy level, for the specific crowd in the room that night. What I do instead is use your playlist as a foundation and roadmap, then apply 15 years of experience reading rooms to make it work in real time.

My standard package covers everything you need for a seamless reception: a bespoke DJ set curated for your event, professional MC services for announcements and timeline management, a premium sound system sized to your venue, wireless microphones for speeches and vows, and dance floor lighting. One-on-one planning sessions and access to my digital planning tools are included from the moment you book.
Additional services — ceremony audio, cocktail hour in a separate space, uplighting, and travel — are discussed and quoted upfront.
-
Yes. Ceremony audio is a separate setup — a dedicated speaker system, a wireless mic for your officiant, and any readers. I handle the music for your processional, signing, and recessional, and I coordinate directly with your officiant on cues. Ceremony coverage is priced as an add-on to the main package.
-
One wedding per day. I don't double-book. If your wedding is on a Saturday, I'm not showing up after an afternoon event — I've spent the morning reviewing your playlist, confirming the timeline with your planner, and making sure everything is ready before I arrive at your venue.
-
I have a trusted network of professional DJs I've worked alongside for years. In the unlikely event of an emergency, I would personally arrange a replacement of equivalent experience and brief them on your event in detail. This is in the contract. It has never happened — but you should ask every DJ you consider this question, and you should never book one who doesn't have a clear answer.
-
ItemI bring redundant everything. Backup controller, backup audio source, spare cables, spare microphones. Equipment failure is rare, but the difference between a professional and an amateur is having a second system running in minutes rather than standing in front of your guests with a problem and no solution. description

Over 15 years I've performed at most of the city's landmark venues, including the Art Gallery of Ontario, Casa Loma, Hotel X, the Fairmont Royal York, The Globe and Mail Centre, Evergreen Brick Works, The Drake Hotel, Gladstone House, and the Liberty Grand, among many others.
Venue familiarity matters. I know the acoustics, the load-in logistics, the power layouts, the noise restrictions, and the on-site teams at all of these spaces — which means fewer surprises on your wedding day.

Yes. I regularly DJ weddings in Muskoka, Prince Edward County, Niagara, and beyond. Destination weddings outside the GTA involve a travel fee, which is quoted upfront based on the location. -
Always. I'll connect with your planner, photographer, venue coordinator, and any other key vendors well before the event. Knowing when the photographer needs the cake cutting, when the caterer is ready to clear for dancing, and when the venue needs music to wrap — all of that coordination happens before the night begins, not on the fly.
